Sonia (Renee Zellweger che avevamo già apprezzato nel film “Jerry Macguire”) è una giovane donna cresciuta ed educata nella comunità ebraico-ortodossa in America, secondo gli schemi e i rigidi precetti della Bibbia. La sua vita rispecchia ciò che i suoi genitori volevano per lei: si è sposata con Mendel,un giovane professore erudito e fermamente credente, ha dato alla luce un figlio maschio, vive in una casa decente in un quartiere popolato da ebrei ortodossi come lei.

Thank you Derek for your nice words. I watched a Price Above the Rubies in an Italian theater in English (just after have moved back to my country) and I loved Renee Zellweger’s performance, she was very young and already very expressive, perfect for the part.
